In my own experience, relationships that are intense usually end in a flaming rage, leaving the lovers hurt and broken. Our relationship was not like Romeo and Juliet but it was a good relationship. Until one of us decided to end it up. We ended up awfully, but now that we both have moved on with our respective lives, I have learned that we did great both as we never hated each other after that breakup. So I will share to you my reasons why I did not hate my ex that ended me a lot happier as I am now.
1. You do not want to be a bitter person for the rest of your life.
Avoid anything that jog your memory of him. Anything or anyone that brings him up or brings the thought of him to your mind is slowing down your progress. You may not noticing it but it is affecting your life as it changes you as a person. Instead of letting yourself be loved by anybody else, you end up imprisoning yourself in the cage of madness – that would make your life wretched.
2. You have a lot more of things to think of.
Think about the things that are yet to come, instead. Yeah, you may not where you want to be with that guy, but thank God you are no longer where you were. Try to alter your hatred to the excitement of where your life is going to take you.
3. You still have a life to live.
With enough determination avoiding the reminiscence of him, the memory of him will begin to fade and you can begin to live your life again. Though, sometimes the wounds left behind by that break up can take an inordinate length of time to heal.
4. You have an unfinished life story.
Hating your ex is easy. But do you want to have more than enough history to remember filled with awful memories and hatred? Think of it carefully.
5. You have a goal to achieve.
After you broke up with him, remember you have a goal to achieve and that is to forget him completely. Having him removed completely from your mind and life will ultimately make you the person you want to be. The person who has happily moved on.
6. You’ve had enough mistakes in your life.
We all have made mistakes in our lives. But that does not mean we have to get used of committing those. We have to live and learn. It’s a shame to waste our precious youth preoccupied on a failed grounds. It’s time for you to go on your life and next relationship, perhaps.
7. Hating him ends you up hating yourself.
Always bear on your mind that you do not want to be someone who holds grudges. Of course you don’t want to have hate in yourself because that is not who you are. It’s very hard to do this after you had just break up but say it enough and it sink in. Don’t hate him or her because when the time that you have moved on comes, you will just laugh on yourself. Be happy that you are no longer with him or her.
8. You have to move on.
Adhering on to the past will only keep you in the chains of the past. Letting go of your past is the same as freeing yourself from memories – which will help you move on. Although you hate him, think of yourself constantly occupied with his thoughts, which is obstructing you from moving on for the better and greater things for yourself.
